Want More Out of Your Life? Keep Moving!

Share on Facebook Share 1 Share on TwitterTweet Share on LinkedIn Share 0 Send email Mail Have you ever felt trapped by your circumstances? When calamity strikes, such as losing your job, losing a loved one, or receiving a bad medical diagnosis, it can paralyze you. You may feel as if your whole world has been turned upside down and wonder how you can possibly survive the loss. When the avalanche of negativity, depression, fear, or financial hardship hits, what do you end up doing? Do you lay down and quit, or do you stand up and fight? Take, for example, the very real story of Archbishop Ruth Smith. In the wake of her husband’s death, she could’ve easily given in to depression and hopelessness. So many people who have experienced the same situation have been lost in the sadness of grief. But she didn’t allow her pain to knock her over or cause her to give up. Instead, with God’s help, she put that pain to work in her life! Birthed out of her own personal tragedy, Archbishop Smith’s book, Keep Moving, will equip you with God’s supernatural strength to get through your struggles and live victoriously, no matter what you may be facing. When emotions are allowed to control you, such as grief following the passing of a loved one, you become guided by the wrong thing. Emotions fluctuate and change like the wind, but God’s love and purpose for your life is unchanging! Keep Moving is an anointed guide that is full of wisdom that will help you gain control over your feelings instead of your...
Are You Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired?

Are You Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired?

Share on Facebook Share 0 Share on TwitterTweet Share on LinkedIn Share 0 Send email Mail There are times in everyone’s life where stress and pressure seem to be overwhelming. When you’re hard pressed on every side, between work, bills, health issues, and relationship problems, it may seem like there’s no way to improve your circumstances. All of this stress leaves us feeling sick and tired! I’ve had the honor to host one of my dearest friends in ministry, Dr. Derek Grier, in the 1onONE studio. Today, I want to share with you one of his teaching sermons that has profoundly impacted my life, and I know it will touch yours, too. This life changing message will reach you when you’re at the end of your rope and you just can’t take it anymore. When you’re at that critical point, Dr. Grier will show you how to LET GO and grab on to God’s lifeline! So many of us feel the pressure to work our circumstances out on our own. The idea of letting go can seem like a terrifying choice. And then, when our ego gets in the way, we often can’t or won’t let go and let God be God. All of this leaves us feeling anxious, fearful, stressed, and can even make us physically sick. But the good news is it’s not our job to figure it out! It’s our job to trust God, and humble ourselves before Him. When we give our cares to Him, we get to watch Him work it out! Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may...
Are You Surrounded By Fools?

Are You Surrounded By Fools?

Share on Facebook Share 0 Share on TwitterTweet Share on LinkedIn Share 0 Send email Mail As we go through our everyday lives, we’re bound to encounter foolish behavior. It can be as minor as someone cutting you off in traffic. Maybe it’s a coworker who makes more work for everyone with their foolish choices. Perhaps, even, there’s foolishness happening in your relationships. Do you know how to work through those difficult situations? My dear friend, Dr. Derek Grier, deals with this issue head on in his sermon teaching, “How to Live with a Fool.” Dr. Grier is the founding pastor of Grace Church in Dumfries, Virginia, and has spoken into my life in supernatural ways. He is making a difference both in his church and throughout the world, reaching 2.5 billion people with his Bible-based ministry, which is committed to doing God’s work and sharing the message of Christ. Dr. Grier joined me recently for a special spotlight episode of 1onONE to tackle the issue of what God says about dealing with difficult, foolish people. This message is so important because, like it or not, many of us are in some sort of relationship-related struggle caused by foolishness. We just don’t know how to work things out on our own. We all end up in tough spots we don’t know how to navigate, spots where it isn’t always clear if we should stay or go, submit or rise up. A fool is simply someone who won’t listen to someone else because fools think they know everything! Does this sound like anyone you know? All of us can fall...
Why Me?

Why Me?

Share on Facebook Share 0 Share on TwitterTweet Share on LinkedIn Share 0 Send email Mail In life, there are always circumstances that make us wonder, “Why me?” When bad things happen — a lost job, a bad medical diagnosis, the death of a loved one, a failing relationship — it’s easy to fall into a victimized, defeated mode of thinking. We live in an imperfect, fallen world, and negative things happen all of the time. Eventually, it’s easy to fall into a defeated mindset where you just cope with your circumstances. But here’s the thing — God didn’t design us to be victims. He designed us to conquer every situation and to walk in victory through Christ. The problem is that too many of us internalize the defeat that happens to and around us. We give into the negative things that end up defining and developing our values, way of thinking, and sense of self. It becomes the world that’s writing the script for your life — not God’s Word! It’s time to gain control over that negative, victimized thinking. Zero Victim, written by my good friend Pastor James Ward, is a guide to breaking out of the victim mentality for good! Now, I’m not saying that we’ll never be faced with challenges or hard times. In fact, trials and struggles will always be present in this life. The difference between being a victim and walking in victory comes from how you respond to those challenges. In fact, sometimes, challenges are divinely assigned to build your character! It’s how you look at it that matters. The people who...
Don’t Let Temptation Drive You to a Fatal Mistake!

Don’t Let Temptation Drive You to a Fatal Mistake!

Share on Facebook Share 0 Share on TwitterTweet Share on LinkedIn Share 0 Send email Mail Temptation All of us, at one point or another, are faced with temptation. It can be as simple as running a red light to get where you’re going on time, or texting and driving — only to end in a fatal wreck. But over time, those small temptations open the door to bigger ones. It’s amazing what people will do when they think they won’t get caught. They assess the risk, and as long as they’re not caught, “one more time” is okay. One temptation, one mistake, one bad choice can change your life forever.   My recent 1onONE guest, Pastor Clydell White, shared how his world was turned upside down due to his temptations that sent him to prison. Clydell’s story starts with him working as a youth minister. Like so many of us, he often struggled financially to make ends meet. When he was at his lowest point, Clydell was faced with temptation. He was approached by a man with an offer — if he would create counterfeit checks, the man would pay him $5,000. He told himself the same lie we all have at one point or another: once won’t hurt. As you can imagine, “once” turned into “just one more time.” And one more. And one more. Eventually, all of those “one more times” came back to change his life forever. For Clydell, it came in the form of two detectives knocking at his door at 4AM to arrest him. Rather than being defined by his mistakes, Clydell has...

You’re Just 21 Days From Total Restoration!

Share on Facebook Share 6 Share on TwitterTweet Share on LinkedIn Share 0 Send email Mail Did you know that God’s purpose, plan, and will for your life doesn’t start with a great dream or great effort on your part? It simply starts with right thinking; a mindset that lines up with God’s way of thinking. His plan is for you to operate in the fullness of His goodness. Nothing missing, nothing lacking, nothing broken. Just as God is a triune God — existing in three aspects: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — you were created and designed in His likeness and image; a triune being. That means, like God, you exist in three aspects — spirit, soul, and body. You are spirit. You possess a soul. You live within a body. All three aspects of your being are meant to flow in harmony with each other, and with our Creator. God wants you to live an abundant, extraordinary life. To do so, you have to be aware of and tend to all three parts of your triune being. I’ve spent my career bringing solutions to people’s lives. Whether it’s introducing you to guests on my show, or what I do for other faith-based leaders, I have the ability to see a problem and find the solution! Through my experiences, I’ve found one issue that’s usually the root cause of trouble in life, and that is being out of alignment! What do I mean? If you were to go to the chiropractor and complain of pain in your arm, your back, or your leg, the first thing they would...
