Let me ask you something…. Did you start this new year by making resolutions? With the start of each new year, around one in three Americans resolve to better themselves in some way. A much smaller percentage of people actually make good on those resolutions. Maybe you resolved to lose weight, eat better, or exercise more.
By the time you’re reading this, you’ve probably already failed at your resolutions.
What do I mean by that? I mean that you failed because you were destined to fail. You’re wasting your time by making New Years resolutions, because they aren’t a successful mechanism for change. They’re unspecific, they’re unrealistic, and they imply that change occurs only within a finite period of time.
And here’s the worst part! After a while, failing at your resolutions again and again will make you lose faith in your ability to change. If you’ve resolved every year for the past three years to be healthier and failed, what makes you think you’ll be different this year?

Remember, it’s progress… not perfection! Take your journey day-by-day. That way, you’re focused only on the day ahead, not what happened yesterday or what’s waiting for you tomorrow. Don’t worry about giving yourself a deadline to see results. When you change your thinking, you can change everything!
